Pomegranate Pistachios Oats

Anyone who wonders why we love to make Overnights Oats with pomegranate seeds now in winter and early spring will find the answer in the train station of Altona, a neighborhood of Hamburg: There is a small fruit stall where you can buy high quality pomegranate seeds. And one little pot of them is enough for four portions of Overnight Oats… The sweetness, the cracking sounds, the fresh color – make your mouth water. Combined with pistachios it becomes a ‘superfood’-cocktail. Did you know that 30 g of pistachios have the same antioxidant effect as one cup of green tea? Enjoy!

For one portion you need

  • 5 tbsp rolled oats (50 g)
  • 150 g yogurt (1,5%)
  • 2 tbsp pomegranate seeds
  • 10 g pistachios

Instructions

  1. Mix rolled oats with the yogurt and 1 tbsp pomegranate seeds.
  2. Put the rest of the seeds on top, seal the jar and put in fridge overnight.
  3. In the morning, add the pistachios (of course you can do that in the evening, but they won’t stay as crunchy).
